Using silence, slow motion and lingering gestures, Nichole Canuso and her company inhabit a dance realm as much about meditation as movement. Canuso’s premiere solo Fail Better was an enchantment. It’s an assemblage of objects with a human as the centerpiece, and simply one of the most beautiful movement pieces imaginable. T…4…3 has three women holding what amounts to a physical conversation. In silence they shrug, look away or fall to the floor. Here We Are Again , with six dancers, suggests a series of relationships through subtle gestures. No slick tricks, no cheap thrills, this lady is making movement art.
